He frequently gets upside down on a sled, but what we learn in this film is that Sam Standing is actually a big, mushy, cat guy.
A childhood dream
Sam Standing grew up in small town Ontario, but now calls Pemberton, BC home. His love for snowmobiling can be traced back to when he was a kid riding frozen lakes and farmers' fields but ultimately brought him to the Sea to Sky corridor to pursue a childhood dream. The mountains here are on a whole different level and he’s doing his best to explore them all.
The harder he rode, the more he needed to fix his own sled. With a mechanic’s mind, Sam decided to engineer solutions to his own snowmobiling discomforts. He ended up designing a single snowmobile deck system with an integrated ramp that makes loading a sled onto a pickup truck much easier than it was in the past. Supplying these decks to like minded people has let Sam live out his dream of exploring the coast mountains with his friends.
Pushing boundaries
